The Rochester Police Department will be hosting the 3rd Annual "Police in the Park" event on Saturday, July 29. Bring the entire family and enjoy an evening in the park with YOUR police officers. Starting at 7:00 PM officers will be in the city park. There will be hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy to snack on, thanks to the good people at Mill Creek Church. The Fulton County Animal Center has agreed to have an animal adoption event from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. At 8:00 PM we will have a K-9 demonstration on the basketball court. And at approximately 9:00 PM (dusk) there will be a movie on the men's softball diamond. This year we will be showing the movie Secret Life of Pets. So bring the family, enjoy an evening in the park with the police department, watch a movie about pets, and maybe even take a new pet home. There will be NO admission fee for the movie. The cost of the movie is being covered by the Rochester Police Department, as our way of giving back to this great community that supports us. So save the date and let's make this another great community event! Stay tuned for more details.
We have just confirmed that there will be a dunk tank, face painters and a balloon artist this year. We will be charging $1 for three balls at the dunk tank and all proceeds will go to the Fulton County Animal Center. So bring some dollars and try to dunk a police officer for a good cause! Can't wait to see everyone there!
