EDUCATIONAL AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist ARRT (R) & Mammography (M) (ARRT)
- Required Licensure with the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience performing Mammography procedures required, in a hospital environment preferred.
- Familiarity with mammography accreditations (ACR-MQSA) strongly preferred.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to provide the requested diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Treats patients, visitors, and fellow employees with care and respect.
- Participates in a variety of radiology and Mammography procedures, the calculation of results, and the maintenance, review, and application of associated computer programs throughout the organization.
- Maintains the Mammography Department according to Local, State, and Federal Laws.
- Supports and participates in Mammography accreditation processes (ACR/MQSA), with the opportunity to develop proficiency and assume greater responsibility over time.
- Strictly adheres to MQSA, FDA laws, and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines.
- Consults with the radiologist, physicians, and staff concerning radiology and Mammography procedures, techniques, and protocols.
- Assists the Director in development and maintenance of the Mammography/Radiology Quality Assurance Program, and takes responsibility for its implementation.
